The extension action research "Digital Health and Public Health: Interconnections for Promoting the Health of Older Adults," conducted in 2025, is the core of this article. This article aims to report on how project management, according to the DMAIC method (definition-D, measurement-M, analysis-A, implementation-I, control-C), guided the planning of this research focused on the digital inclusion of older adults in Florianópolis. The research project was defined (D) through a literature review, discussions with experts, and coordination with the Department of Social Assistance. For monitoring (M), indicators were created based on a logical model. The factors that influence digital literacy were addressed in team training (A). Dialogue and agreement through various channels included the implementation, and the systematization of each stage according to the target audience, goals, indicators, and expected results constituted control (C). Detailing fruitful and replicable strategies for digital inclusion of older adults implies a relevant social contribution.
