This study, part of the extension project “Neurodiversity: university extension promoting social inclusion”, aimed to investigate, through a systematic review, the correlation between Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children and adolescents. The literature search was conducted in databases such as SciELO, PubMed, and Elsevier, following Brazilian Ministry of Health guidelines. From 1,000 initial results, 13 studies met inclusion criteria. Findings revealed a high comorbidity rate between ASD and ADHD, with symptomatic overlap and distinct clinical phenotypes. Diagnostic tools varied, notably ADOS, ADI-R, and Conners' Scales. The coexistence of both disorders presents diagnostic and therapeutic challenges, requiring tailored protocols. It was concluded that this comorbidity significantly affects neuropsychological and functional development, highlighting the need for early identification and integrated care.
