EXTENSÃO UNIVERSITÁRIA: FORMAÇÃO DE PROFESSORES ENTRE A UNIVERSIDADE E A ESCOLA

Este artigo discute a extensão universitária como espaço formativo relevante para o desenvolvimento profissional docente, ressaltando seu impacto na práxis pedagógica da educação básica. A pesquisa, de caráter qualitativo e sustentada pela pedagogia crítica, dialoga com referenciais como Freire (1996), Jezine (2004), Giroux (1997) e Pimenta (2006). O estudo considerou ações registradas no Sistema de Gestão da Extensão da Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (Sigex/Ufes) entre 2013 e 2023, além de questionários aplicados a professores universitários e da educação básica. Os achados evidenciam a extensão como espaço de diálogo, reflexão e construção coletiva, favorecendo a reelaboração das práticas pedagógicas. Contudo, foram identificadas dificuldades, como excesso de demandas, concentração geográfica das iniciativas e carência de políticas de incentivo à formação continuada. Conclui-se que, sob uma perspectiva crítica, a extensão se consolida como lócus estratégico de formação, fortalecendo a articulação entre universidade e escola e reafirmando a docência como prática social transformadora.
