Abstract

Five didactic-scientific workshops (Sexuality, Drugs, Health - Parasitism, Environmental Education and Scientific Methodology), organized by professors and academics of Licentiate in Biological Sciences of Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa, were held at 19 schools located in six small cities of Paraná, Brazil. They were part of the program UNIVERSIDADE SEM FRONTEIRAS and took place from October, 2007 to November, 2009. It involved 2056 students of Elementary Education, 643 students of Secondary Education and 65 teachers. The teamwork carried out a self-assessment and the workshops were assessed by people who took part in it. The academics expressed their satisfaction with the knowledge they acquired. The ones who took part in it emphasized the importance of its content. The workshop about Drugs and Parasitism were the ones that provided more commentaries and doubts. The multidisciplinary work was very important for academics and for participants, who were receptive and interactive in all activities.
