The extension project Training Teachers and Social Citizenship: a Pedagogical Study about Historical and Environmental Heritage was approved by the University Extension Program - University without Borders - SETI - PR - Support for Licentiate Courses (2007-2009). It aims to create spaces for theoretical and practical discussions amongst academics and the ones that work in teaching environment. It is a mutual and educational process that contributes to the initial and continuing education of history and geography teachers as well as to the students of elementary school. It also intends to contribute with human resource training in the educational heritage perspective, valuing the different dimensions of cultural, local e regional heritage in order to arise conscience about preservation as well as recognizing it as a reference of cultural heritage and a contributive process to the formation of social citizenship.Downloads
