This article results from the extension course Teacher Continuing Education: Paths to Literacy, proposed by professors from the Faculty of Communication Arts and Letters of Federal University of Grande Dourados. It was approved by Education Ministry in September, 2008. This article discusses the Continuing Education Course about Literature Teaching and its reception by the elementary school teachers who took part in it. Teachers’ anxieties in teaching Literature and their student’s resistance to spend time reading guides this study.Downloads
