Liderazgo de la universidad en la sociedad del conocimiento desde la dimensión extensionista

Abstract

The credibility and relevance of the University of the XXI century will become evident when forging professionals whose humanistformation and their high scientific and technical training are constant sources search for solutions. The University's mission trivet,education, research and extension, must satisfy and answer to society's needs as well as itself. The university must feed itself fromsociety to its development and to give assistance to the community. This relationship is what enables the self-development andthe transformation of the university and society. It's seen as a conscious process, holistic and dialectical, revealing regularitiesand relations that explain and predict the behaviour of the processes that build this relationship. This work is based on the aimof establishing a direct interrelationship between extension processes and educational guidance in the college community,adjusting to new approaches and trying to respond to the whole time formation, characterizing the values' consolidation ofvalues, political and ideological formation from other edges, the affirmation of the individual's identity in several contexts, leadingto a broader sexual culture, health, unavoidable part of a whole general culture.
