APRESENTAÇÃO DIDÁTICA DO PROJETO “EDUCAÇÃO PARA O CONSUMO RESPONSÁVEL”

This article is part of the extension project Educação para o consumo responsável [Education for Responsible Consumption], which has been carried out since 2008 at the Ponta Grossa State University (UEPG). Initially, the proposal is situated in relation to the ones which were carried out previously and sets up a basic definition of Education for Responsible Consumption (ERC). Then, it presents the methodology of the extension project, emphasizing the research work required by it as well as its results, that is a graphical model and its application in order to promote understanding of the relationship between the various vertices considered in ERC: Environment, Advertising, Health and Safety, and Law and Ethics. This model was produced based on the collection published by IDEC (Institute for Consumer Protection) and Inmetro (National Institute of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality). The article also explains how the three pillars of University – teaching, research and extension, are integrated.
