University Extension, Theater, Secondary School, CE Urbano Rocha.Abstract
This article analyzes the activities in the extension project “The School in the Universe of Imaginary Art”, developed with 22 high school students from the Center of Education Urbano Rocha (CEUR) in Imperatriz (MA), from September to December 2013. The Project is linked to the Research Group Memories, Diversity and Cultural Identities, of the Universidade Federal do Maranhão (UFMA). We worked with lectures, playful interaction exercises, dubbing and role-playing of theatrical and non-theatrical texts. A questionnaire with three structured questions was applied, before and after the project, to understand the students’ conception of the theater in the school context. The theoretical basis and the analysis are supported by the authors: BERTHOLD (2000); BOAL (1998); REVERBEL (1989), among others. Results revealed the development and strengthening of students’ creative, cognitive, artistic and corporal potentiality, so that the project activities provided them with cultural expansion inside and outside school.Downloads
