Participation in outreach activities, and in particular at the Junior Enterprise Movement (MEJ, in the Portuguese acronym), contribute to the development of students´ skills, as well as to their critical, analytical and entrepreneurial spirit. This article analyzes how internal and external actions carried out by a Junior Enterprise linked to a Business Management undergraduate course can help students´ development during the teaching-learning process. To this end, the literature about the MEJ was reviewed and the basis of two theories related to the teaching-learning process and skills generated, which provided the analytical basis of the research data. The discussion of the data adopted an action-research methodology that scientifically justifies the discussion of how the various actions developed interact with the company´s values and with the type of learning for those involved. The results highlight the importance of the social and practical process carried out in groups and that they bring to students strong values related to the development of instrumental and social skills.Downloads
