The review presents the work University Extension: Management, Communication, and Regional Development, by Flavi Ferreira Lisbôa Filho, highlighting the relevance of University Extension as a tool for social transformation and for strengthening the relationship between the university and society. The text analyzes the structure of the book, which is divided into nine chapters, addressing topics such as the curricular integration of extension, the impact of extension projects, affirmative policies, human rights, and regional development. In addition to contextualizing the trajectory of extension in Brazil, the review emphasizes how the work contributes to understanding the inseparability of teaching, research, and extension. It also highlights the role of extension in academic training, especially in Early Childhood Education and teacher development. Finally, it reinforces that the book systematizes essential reflections for the implementation of more inclusive extension policies aligned with social needs
