This study investigated the edition of the International Moon Observation Night (IOMN) held in 2024 in seven municipalities in the interior of Rio Grande do Norte and two in Ceará, focusing on the analysis of the science popularization strategies adopted in these events and their impact on the local community. The activities included astronomical observations with telescopes, thematic exhibitions, robotics workshops, and educational sessions in an inflatable and traveling planetarium. The methodology adopted involved the organization of public events, with the active participation of local schools and support from educational institutions. The results indicate a significant increase in community interest in scientific topics, evidenced by the high public participation and enthusiasm demonstrated during the activities. Therefore, events such as the International Moon Observation Night are effective in promoting scientific literacy and strengthening local culture, highlighting the importance of science popularization initiatives for educational and social development in the regions served.
