Abstract
This article describes the work of the Patricia Galvão Institute through the profile analyzes of Jacira Vieira de Melo one of its creators. In this research, the Oral History method was adapted and applied to the field of journalism, in order to know the interviewee's (and also the institute's) proposal about the professional market, the academic education and the journalistic performance in relation to the issues involving the gender studies in Brazil, especially those related to women. This research reveals that the agenda feminicide is the point that deserves highlighting among the answers analyzed.
