Abstract

This research investigated the flood of the printed media, through digital social networks. 10 Brazilian printed newspapers were selected through their respective Twitter profiles. Did we seek to answer the issue of how the mediatization process expands the dimension of print journalism? From the bibliographic research and the participant virtual observation, the research methodological instrument was composed, characterized as a case study. The theoretical bases were reasoned on mediatization, with Harvard's proposal (2012 and 2014) to mediatization of society, and on the proposal of transmedia journalism of Porto and Flores (2012). It was considered that the printed media has been overflowing its content to other platforms to follow the flow of the reader, characterizing transmedia journalism.
