Abstract

The word "abstract" must be spelled in Century Gothic , body 14 , simple space This article investigates the reconfiguration of the journalistic market and professional profile, both affected by the changes in the digital age that caused structural, financial and productive reorganizations, as well as enabled new perspectives in the journalistic field. Thus, we analyze the case of the Cooperative of Journalists and Graphics Professionals of the state of Alagoas (Jorgraf), the only initiative in the existing area in Brazil, aiming to understand the relationship between cooperativism and journalism. As a result, it is demonstrated that cooperativism is a possible business model in the area of journalism that allows maintaining jobs in the category; enables democratic participation by members; and provides financial sustainability
