Na contramão do pensamento hegemônico:
uma análise da obra Reportagens de Joe Sacco
Abstract
When it becomes about knowing, understanding and discussing the comics jornalism's experience, the name of Joe Sacco is invariably remembered; his works Palestine and Notes on Gaza are some of the classics of comics reporting. In the Journalism, Joe Sacco offers to the readers a collection of reports about some conflicts in several corners of the world with same rigor as the journalist covering war and, on the other hand, with the sensitivity of the “realistic” graphic artist, revealing the stories of groups and individuals who live with the horrors and absurdities of the war. In this regard, the objective of this article is to present the work Journalism by Joe Sacco and analyze it in the context of comic journalism in the genre of reporting as well as, through a dialectical analysis, to ratify that the referred journalistic genre is worthy of the same legitimacy and credibility conferred to conventional journalistic reporting of an essentially verbal nature.
