Abstract

The technological evolution of Artificial Intelligence (AI) made it possible for her to write news for journalistic agencies and websites in at least 16 countries, including Brazil. This article, through exploratory bibliographical research, seeks to investigate whether automated news reflects the concepts of Journalism as a form of knowledge addressed by theorists such as Park(1940), Genro Filho(1987), Meditsch(1998), Van Dijk(2005), Franciscato (2008) and Nielsen(2017). The research will also present the main characteristics of the application of Artifical Intelligence in news writing. Algorithms are very agile in interpreting data and writing news. However, they cannot doubt data, deepen information and do not even interview people like humans.
