The purpose of this investigation is to present the contribution and limits of the appropriation of the theoretical-methodological framework based on the work of the French philosopher and sociologist Pierre Bourdieu (1930-2002), from the production of Brazilian and Argentine researchers published in scientific journals of the scientific field of education policies in the period between 2015 and 2022. Based on meta-research, it was especially possible to highlight the consistency of the appropriation of Bourdieu’s theory and method and the relevance of studies that are willing to invest in an appropriation of the author’s way of working. Such analysis expands and contributes to the analysis of production in the scientific field of education policies in both countries, as well as in the training of their researchers.
