Specificities of prison and its approximation with education in Paraná: brief notes from the literature review

Abstract

This work has the objective of presenting studies that deal with the educational practice facing the specificity of the prison space. Its possibilities and limits are observed and approximations of the context of prisons in Paraná are identified. For this, the literature review was chosen, and it was possible to point out and select the productions related to the investigations on education in prisons, outlining its conditions and supporting documents. The search of the documents dealt with the publications in two phases: from 1996 to 2006 and 2007 to 2017. The selection and classification of the documents were defined from the following categories of analysis: Prison Education, Educational Legislation, Legislation and Prison Public Policies. Thus, of the eleven publications selected, education was observed with a function of justification of permanence and maintenance of the prison sentence with a view to the progressive and reducing aspect of the damages caused by the current prison conditions.

    Graduada em Pedagogia com habilitação em Orientação Educacional (2001), Especialista em Psicopedagogia Institucional pela Universidade do Centro Oeste, UNICENTRO (2003), Mestre em Educação (2015) e Doutoranda em Educação na Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa. É pesquisadora do Grupo GEPÊPrivação da Universidade de São Paulo e participa dos Grupos História, Sociedade e Educação no Brasil - HISTEDBR e Sociedade Internacional Hegel - Marx: Seção Brasil da Universidade do Centro Oeste. Foi Coordenadora Pedagógica da Penitenciária Industrial de Guarapuava e do Centro de Regime Semiaberto de Guarapuava, assumindo também as funções de Vice direção e Conselheira Disciplinar desta última instituição prisional. Foi colaboradora dos Cadernos do Departamento Penitenciário do Paraná, especificamente nas Práticas de Tratamento Penal nas Unidades Prisionais do Paraná. É Coordenadora Geral do Pólo Regional de Guarapuava do Estado do Paraná do Comitê de Educação em Direitos Humanos e Coordenadora Pedagógica do Centro de Educação Básica para Jovens e Adultos, Nova Visão instalada no Complexo Penitenciário de Guarapuava Pr além de atuar como Docente Colaboradora da Universidade Estadual do Centro Oeste, UNICENTRO no Departamento de Pedagogia e no curso de Especialização em Intervenção Sociocultural em Contextos Escolares e Não escolares e Libras em parceria com a Universidade Aberta do Brasil.
