Authors

Abstract

The study discusses the reality of mothers, university professors, regarding the difficulties they have faced in relation to research and academic production, in times of Coronavirus Covid-19. Therefore, we use as theoretical basis the theories of textual genre, academic literacy, work and the mode of production/social reproduction that permeate human lives. The methodology follows the quantitative-qualitative approach, and, for data collection and analysis, we apply a semistructured questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of discursive and multiple-choice questions, which were answered by 48 teachers from different places of Brazil. Finally, after analyzing the data obtained, it could be stated that the ideology of motherhood operates to justify the overload of domestic work, which reflects on the academic productivity of the professors.
