YOUTH AND ADULT EDUCATION: SCHOOLING IN AGRARIAN REFORM AREAS IN PARANÁ (EARLY YEARS) – REPORT OF AN OUTREACH EXPERIENCE AT UNIOESTE

This article reports the experience of an outreach project from the State University of the West of Paraná (UNIOSTE, in the Portuguese acronym). The aim of the project was to offer schooling opportunities in areas of agrarian reform in the state of Paraná. The project aimed at organizing 60 classes from the early years of elementary education, with a minimum of 20 students per class making up 1.200 students. The students who successed would be certified and the pedagogical team would receive in service education. The 1.600 teaching hours were distributed over a period of two years and there was the use of three million reais. The curriculum included all areas of knowledge. As outcomes, we can highlight the certification of 370 illiterate youth and adults in addition to 400 people who learned to read and write.References
