Abstract

This is an experience report related to the outreach project "More Action and Nutrition in Childhood" which developed dynamic and interactive strategies to encourage children to acquire healthy eating habits. It was carried out by students and a professor from the bachelor’s degree in Nutrition. The participants were children between 4 and 5 years old enrolled in Preschool I at a municipal school located in Vale de São Francisco, Bahia – Brazil.  With the use of dynamic and interactive methodologies, based on active learning, the strategies proved to be efficient in developing students' critical sense, in introducing them new flavors to the palate, and in stimulating their autonomy for choosing healthy food. It was possible to conclude that the objectives were met, and the use of strategies aimed at children, based on dynamic and interactive learning methods, provided them opportunity to develop healthy eating habits.
