Abstract

This review aimed to identify the scientific evidence on recommendations for promoting the mental health of young adults in the context of the new coronavirus pandemic. The research was developed by members of “Programa de Educação pelo Trabalho” (PET-Saúde, Brazilian Acronyms). It is a scoping review carried out in LILACS, MEDLINE/PubMed, CINAHL, SCOPUS, and PsycINFO databases. 23 articles were included in the review. The main mental health promotion recommendations for young adults were focused on self-care. This study contributes to the dissemination of mental health promotion strategies for the young adult population in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. It serves as support for health care and makes possible managements that may be used in the development of policies and action plans to help people in any pandemic context.
