Abstract
This work presents results of an extension action under development in a public children's hospital in Florianópolis, entitled "Tell me again: literature in the hospital bed". Its objectives are: reading and telling stories with children and adolescents hospitalized and unable to leave their beds; opportunize ludic experiences with different languages, represented by literature, music, visual arts, among others; promote actions that prioritize children's free expression through play, games, art and literature. The results obtained allow us to affirm that this type of extension actions can contribute to the well-being and health of hospitalized children, who is in a situation of fragility caused by the disease, but subject to motivation and encouragement to participate in the healing process. This action resulted in three course completion works at UDESC (2019; 2021) and Faculdade Municipal da Palhoça (2023).
