CONTRIBUTIONS AND REPERCUSSIONS OF A NURSING EXTENSION GROUP IN URGENCY AND EMERGENCY: EXPERIENCE REPORT

This study aimed to describe the contributions and repercussions of an emergency nursing training extension project. This is a descriptive, ambispective study, an experience report on an Urgency and Emergency Nursing extension project at the State University of Maringá. The extension, teaching and research project resulted in multiple trainings in Basic Life Support for the lay population, which is the main objective, as well as training in intraosseous puncture, internal training, holding the 1st urgency and emergency symposium and with prospecting other capabilities. Extension, teaching and research actions provided articulation and exchange of knowledge between the university and the community, promoting the expansion of knowledge through the sharing of learning among health and education professionals aiming for a better approach to urgency and emergency and first aid.
