ENGLISH PALOOZA: FORMAÇÃO DE PROFESSORES DE INGLÊS NA PRÁTICA EXTENSIONISTA

Abstract

This experience report discusses the theoretical study and the English language teaching materials analysis that supports the planning and implementation of activities created by a group of English Language Teaching undergraduate students at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) in a critical language teaching perspective. The project was developed in the second semester of 2023 as part of the Political Dimensions of English Language Teaching course, giving rise to the English Palooza event in the Praça Nova Mall. Four activities were simultaneously implemented for different audiences. The activities offered the non-academic community access to educational resources focused on the critical perspective of additional language learning designed by the pre-service teachers through ludic activities.
