Banca da Ciência In The Pedagogy Degree: an experience report on audiovisual productions in the pandemic context

This article presents an experience report on the adaptation of pedagogical practices in the Curricular Unit (UC) Fundamentos Teórico-Práticos do Ensino de Ciências I during the COVID-19 pandemic in the undergraduate Pedagogy program at the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp). Focusing on the Banca da Ciência project, it highlights this initiative as a university extension space integrated into academic activities, articulating teaching, research, and extension. The pandemic required adaptations, including the transition to remote learning and the creation of video experiments as an alternative to in-person assessments. Undergraduate students developed audiovisual materials to explore scientific concepts in a practical and contextualized manner. These videos expanded scientific outreach through the project's social media platforms. The analysis highlights university extension as a tool for bridging theory and practice in teacher education, emphasizing creativity, interdisciplinarity, and critical reflection to address contemporary educational challenges.
