O PAPEL DA EDUCAÇÃO NÃO-FORMAL E SUAS CONTRIBUIÇÕES NA FORMAÇÃO CULTURAL DO CIDADÃO

This article has as goal focus the relevance of well-structured extension actions, result from teaching and research processes, in contribution of preparing education professionals to look for other ways to approach “the social being”, as well as enable the developing of different methodologies to integrate art and education. The releasing of an exposition about Abstracting, organized by UEPG’s Art Gallery, inspired an art-teacher, who was motivated by exposition’s theme to look for some possibilities to approximate students and art using the Ana Mae’s approach method. In class, the art-teacher contextualized the Abstracting and its characteristics, history and basis, after that followed the students to the Gallery in order to have a real and touching contact with the art. That is: non-formal education to enable a reasoned artistic doing at school. This process, applied in different social contexts, can be able to contribute directly in citizen’s formation, also reaffirming the importance of university extension in knowledge dissemination and in new practices related to teaching-learning and art appreciation.
