ASPECTOS PEDAGÓGICOS E DIDÁTICOS DO "PROJETO CARROCEIRO" NO MUNICÍPIO DE PETROLINA: BEM ESTAR DE EQUÍDEOS E PREOCUPAÇÃO SOCIAL

The project’s work aimed to disseminate knowledge about dealing and draft equine’s welfare, information to the carters and students of public schools in Petrolina City, Pernambuco State, Brazil. For this, it was developed an educational booklet aiming to promote the concepts and appropriate practices for carters. The approaches were performed in free markets and in neighborhood associations. For children, focusing to transform them in information multipliers, it has been written carefully a play demonstrating actions of abusing animals and how to curb them. The play was performed in public schools. From February 2009 to July 2010, 192 carters were approached through the booklet in seven free fairs and three neighborhood associations, getting good acceptance by them. At the same time, the play was performed in thirty schools were, with an estimated of 6.244 targeted students. The used pedagogical proposals allowed a large number of carters and students and it was observed a good acceptance and interaction between them.
