Keywords:
Family Farming, Intervention Project, Socio-economic-agriculturalAbstract
There is an obvious mismatch between the training of professionals in agricultural sciences and the reality of rural areas, where settlements are complex productive units of familiar farmers that demand attention on several dimensions beyond the production. The methodology of this study was based on progressive pedagogy of liberation, which aims to take educators and students to achieve a level of awareness of the reality they live in the quest for transformation. It was taken into consideration SAF’s local knowledge on unconventional construction, agro-ecology and environmental education in order to prepare the workshops, the practical activities and the support material for students. Despite the differences of the results obtained, the settlements did not differ from the reality of the settlements located throughout Brazil. Land reform should be considered a victory for the families settled if occur, beyond the struggle for land, improvements in the integral development of families in all stages of their life.Downloads
