Abstract

This study is based on the results of the outreach project New Talents “Scientific literacy and Citizenship: Investing in talents in the Pampa Gaúcho” in which an activity aiming at promoting reflections about interdisciplinary practices was carried out. This action aimed at sharing information about interdisciplinary teaching and the production of materials for activities that will carried out with teachers from Basic Education, that is, aiming at linking initial education and continuing education. Based on the workshop offered to teachers, it was possible to observe how the actions developed with pre-service teachers will contribute to the actions designed in the project for the continuing education of in-service teachers. Using Discursive Textual Analysis as a framework, the study demonstrates that it is essential to offer spaces for discussions and reflections about interdisciplinary practices in educational contexts. In addition to this, the study showed that in order to have interdisciplinary teacher education, a number of changes are needed not only concerning methodology but also concerning the process of being and thinking in interdisciplinary terms.
