Abstract

This study is a branch of the Extension Project “Diversity and Inclusion: Experiencing Languages”, developed by the Special and Inclusive Education Center of UERJ and aims to research the use of technical assistance by teachers of Multifunctional Resources and Inclusive Classrooms in a town in the south region of Rio de Janeiro. The methodology used was participatory research/action research: two workshops were held in order to allow teachers the opportunity to learn about and reflect on the importance of such resources through contact and experimentation. This research was approved by Plataforma Brasil in 2014, under the number 647.037. Results revealed that the activity developed by the project provided teachers with better understanding of technical assistance, not only regarding the use of the software, but also its use as a tool to foster students’ autonomy.
