AN ANALYSIS OF THE TEXTUAL PRODUCTION COMMANDS OF THE 3RD GRADE OF MIDDLE SCHOOL TEXTBOOK FROM THE DIALOGICAL AND INTERACTIONAL LANGUAGE PERSPECTIVE
Abstract
This work proposes an analysis of textual production commands of the textbook entitled Singular & Plural: leitura, produção e estudos da linguagem (‘Singular & Plural: reading, production and language studies’) under the dialogical and interactional perspective of language proposed by the studies of Bakhtin’s circle, which conceive language as a historical product, culturally and socially marked, and that, in this way, every speech is organized in dialogue with other utterances and with the need of interaction with the other. Therefore, the objective of the study presented in this article was to verify if in the textual production proposals, of the book analyzed, there was any evidence of work with the text in a dialogical and interactionist perspective, which considers discursive genres as instruments for language teaching. The textbook was selected as the object of study because it is considered that it is often the only guiding material for the practice of textual production. For the analysis of the textbook, the dialogical conception of language (BAKHTIN, 2006) and the interactionist theoretical-methodological conception of language (GERALDI, 1997, 2006) were taken as a theoretical basis. In order to systematize the analysis of the material, the referrals produced by Costa-Hübes (2012) were used, which made it possible to verify that the proposals for textual production, present in the textbook analyzed, follow the interactionist tendency and seek to articulate language with its interlocutors, so that the discourse is established through the text in production.
