A A monotematização da cobertura jornalística da Covid - 19 no Jornal Nacional e Jornal da Record
Abstract
This article aims to understand the journalistic processes of coverage of the Covid-19 pandemic by Jornal Nacional and Jornal da Record from 18 January to 15 May 2020, directing journalistic attention to monothematic coverage about the pandemic and the new coronavirus. It considered that since the onset of the disease and its related consequences, journalists' attentions have been divided into three political crises generated by the Brazilian federal government: 1) the dismissal of former Health Minister Luiz Henrique Mandetta; 2) the resignation of ex-minister Sergio Moro of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security and; 3) the resignation of former Health Minister Nelson Teich. As a research method, we initially sought to use exploratory research, with the analysis of the JN and JR editions from January 18 to May 15, 2020, in order to verify the extent to which the health crisis and the political crisis overlapped and became a public health political crisis.
