Abstract

This article reports the experience of laboratory production of telejournalism produced at ESPM-SP, during the coronavirus pandemic period, which brought together the productions of the Journalism courses in São Paulo, Porto Alegre and Rio de Janeiro in a live program. The teaching methodology applied in Journalism courses dialogues with the changes stressed by technology and media convergence. The objective is to present the university newscast that celebrates seven years on the air, make a bibliographic review, analyze the content and report changes in the routine of producing and displaying the news in the face of participant observation.

Author Biographies

Leandro Olegário, Superior School of Marketing Advertising (ESPM POA)

Doctor and master in Social Communication at PUCRS, he is a specialist in Strategic Business Management, journalist and broadcaster. With over 15 years of experience in the market, he accumulates important journalistic coverage and awards, such as the Press Award - Best TV Reporter category 2012. He is the author of the book 'Radiojournalism and Synthesis news', (Metamorfose, 2016). He focuses his research agenda on Teaching Journalism, Radiojournalism and Telejournalism, with an emphasis on professional practices and socio-political processes in the media. He is a member of the CNPq Television and Audience research groups (PUCRS) and Theory and Practice in Journalism (ESPM). He is a professor and supervisor of the Journalism course at ESPM POA. Heidy Vargas, Higher School of Advertising and Marketing (ESPM SP)

PhD student in Communication and Consumer Practices at ESPM-SP. Master in Multimedia (documentary for cinema and television) by the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). Graduated in Social Communication at FIAM-FAAM (Journalism). She is currently a professor of Journalism courses at ESPM-SP and teaches classes in the disciplines of Telejournalism and Documentary. She has experience in the production and teaching of audiovisual projects in traditional and digital media. Researches the following themes: television journalism; new languages ​​in audiovisual journalism, digital media, history of documentary cinema and Brazilian documentary cinema. She worked as a writer, reporter, text editor, sub-editor at Folha de S. Paulo. She was an editor, writer, reporter, sub-editor and presenter at EPTV companies - Campinas; Jornal da Band, on TV Bandeirantes; at Jornal do Terra, Terra website; on the Record network; Jornal Nacional, Rede Globo.
