“This round table is squared”: democratic management in the context of bourgeois democracy

Abstract

This paper aims to present some observations about the concept of democratic management and its meaning in the context of education policies. The notes presented imply clarifying which management and which democracy is spoken about, so as not to run the common risk of writing in the void. To that end, the concepts of hegemony and democracy of the Prison Notebooks, by Antonio Gramsci, is recovered, in order to emphasize that an effective democracy implies overcoming the millenarian separation between leaders and led.
