JUSTIÇA RESTAURATIVA E O CENÁRIO DE MULHERES ENCARCERADAS NO CEARÁ

Abstract

Issues involving women, crime and prison are often the scene of violations of fundamental rights and human dignity, where female specificities are rarely attended to in penitentiary, presenting a situation of inequality and abandonment. In view of this, we seek to verify aspects of female crime in Ceará and analyze how restorative practices can contribute to the prevention of crimes and the resocialization of offenders. To this end, bibliographic and documentary research was developed. It was concluded that restorative justice is a complementary tool to the criminal system, provides effective resocialization and reintegration of female offenders and reduces the incidence of new transgressive behaviors.
