This article presents the results of the project Vem Pra ESALQ carried out by PET-GAEA (Brazilian acronyms), from Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz, a group linked to the Tutorial Education Program maintained by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The aim of the project is to clarify and encourage high school students from the public school system to continue their education by seeking a place at the public university. It is developed through scheduled visits to classes of 1st and 2nd years of high school from public schools located in Piracicaba, in which a presentation is made on the challenges related to entering and remaining at the university. Besides the visits, the project has a page on Facebook and Instagram updated with the most important information regarding admission and permanence at the university. Started in 2019, the project has already visited six schools, reaching about 430 students and totaling nineteen presentations.
