University extension is referred to in the Curriculum Guidelines as essential for adequate professional training and necessarily developed in an articulated manner with teaching and research. In this sense, this work aims to bring an experience report related to the project Nós na Rede: contributions of Dentistry to education, prevention and health promotion, which is linked to the Department of Dentistry of the State University of Ponta Grossa. This project has an educational and preventive nature in health and is aimed at individual and collective subjects, with emphasis on socially disadvantaged communities belonging to the municipality of Ponta Grossa/PR and enrolled regions. Thus, this work aims to report the almost 20 years of activity of the project in question, as well as its lines of action, educational resources, funding, technical-scientific productions and the challenges encountered during all these years of activity.
