TRADING SERVICE BASIS OF THE SOUTH-CENTRAL TERRITORY OF PARANA: AN EXTENSION EXPERIENCE

Abstract

In order to assist in the processes of commercialization of agri-producer families’ organizations from the South-Central Territory of Paraná, the Trading Service Basis (TSB), connected to the University without Borders program, has worked jointly with 13 associations and 3 cooperatives for one year. Fruit of an accompaniment work in the field, this scientific article aims to present the project TSB extension experience. Therefore, a descriptive and qualitative research was conducted, an exploratory feature, through a field research and participant observation. As result, it was observed that the most difficult problems of the entities are in management areas and human resources training, culminating in a series of deficiencies in the trading and distribution of the family farmers’ productions. Through the TSB, it was possible to perform actions that allowed to minimize the deficiencies found.
