REFLECTING ON HEALTH EDUCATION PRACTICE WITH ADOLESCENTS IN THE SCHOOL SPACE: AN EXTENSION REPORT

Childhood and adolescence are stages of life facing a number of vulnerabilities, making the presence of health professionals necessary. In this perspective, the Extension Project “Promoting the Health of Children and Adolescents through Educational Activities”, of the Nursing Course at the Universidade Federal da Fronteira Sul, in the city of Chapecó- SC was created. The project was developed in a state school in 2014, involving students from the first year of elementary school until the last year of high school, employing Charles Maguerez Arch Method to construct the workshops. Due to amazing results, this paper was prepared in order to share and reflect on the extension experience in health education for children and adolescents at school. The health education actions carried out were moments of construction and application of knowledge for the participant children and adolescents’ development, aiming at healthier living habits.Downloads
