Popular education, society and drugs: a perspective for socio-educational work

Abstract

The present article, of qualitative character, aims the presentation of rap music as a contributor on the resilience development on brazilian rappers who are or have been in situation of social vulnerability. Therefore, a bibliographic research was used, in order to present the Psychology of art and music; verify the origins of rap music and it’s introduction on the brazilian context, pointing how it has become a social denouncement tool; conceptualize the resilience process on Psychology and investigate the way in which this artistic manifestation can contribute on the development of resilience. In addition, the following study has relied on a documental research where the results, verified through analysis of the documentary film “O Rap
pelo Rap” through the indicial paradigm, pointed to the utilization of self affirmation, awareness of risk factors and the possibility of comunication of affections as factors which caused the resilience on the subjects presented in the source in question.
