The work is the result of a dream of three young Brazilian biologists and researchers, with the main objective of improving the landscape and quality of life in Brazilian cities. The book was divided into four parts: I - Urban Green and Society, II - Life in the Cities, III - The Body of Trees and IV - Urban Green and Health. In the first part of the work it is evident that to preserve it is necessary to know, before that the authors present the concepts of urban ecology, environmental inequality and environmental injustice. They also discuss the importance of urban biodiversity, as well as the elements of urban green landscapes, which is a strategy to strengthen the idea of conservation.
