This article brings some reflections on the process of elaboration of memories and representations about the Feira de Santana of the 1940s, from the opposition between the novels O Werewolf de Feira de Santana (2002), by Fernando Ramos and the September at feira (1986), by Juarez Bahia. By using these Bahian novels as a source of historical research, we understand them as an object of analysis, reflection and questioning, which, when mediated by the careful gaze of the historian/historian, enable the elaboration of historical knowledge, while enabling reflections on this relationship of approximations and distances between Literature and History.
