Abstract

Abstract:This article analyzes the challenges faced by elderly trans people, highlighting aging as a process of social and symbolic exclusion. Based on the analysis of the web series LGBT+60: Corpos que Resistem, it discusses how digital media act as technologies of memory and resistance. The research adopts a qualitative and netnographic approach, articulating recognition and social justice.

Author Biography

Elis Alves dos Santos (UCAM), Universidade Cândido Mendes

Master’s degree in Political Sociology from IUPERJ/Universidade Candido Mendes (UCAM), supported by a CAPES scholarship. Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management (Estácio), an MBA in People Management (UCAM), and a Teaching Degree in History (FEUC). Works as a History teacher at the high school level in private schools in Rio de Janeiro and as a distance education instructor at UCAM, teaching courses in History, Pedagogy, and Administration. Has experience in teacher training, distance education, development of educational materials, and corporate training, with previous experience at Universidade Petrobras (2013–2016).
