Ethico-ontoepistemological perspective and the contribution of the Philosophy of Praxis to the analysis of Education Policy teaching

Abstract

In this article, it is discussed the importance of the Education Policy  subject in teacher education, highlighting its role in preparing future educators to address the demands of education policies. It emphasizes the need for a critical and proactive approach in the analysis of Education Policy  teaching. To do so, the article explores the contributions of ethical-ontoepistemology in correlation with the Philosophy of Praxis as perspectives that can strengthen a critical and proactive teaching approach in teacher education. It is concluded that adopting the perspective of ethical-ontoepistemology grounded in the Philosophy of Praxis can contribute to the development of a more critical and socially committed initial teacher education.
