Diversity and disability: discourses from the school community on the inclusion process in regular schools

Abstract
O objetivo do estudo é refletir sobre as representações sociais de familiares, professores e gestor de uma escola sul-mato-grossense que atende alunos com necessidades educacionais especiais, nos anos iniciais de Ensino Fundamental, sobre o processo de inclusão desses alunos. O referencial teórico inclui discussões sobre diversidade, desigualdade e representações sociais. A coleta de dados foi realizada a partir da elaboração de roteiros semiestruturados, que serviram de base para a realização de entrevistas, que foram gravadas em áudio, transcritas e finalmente analisadas. Os resultados apontam que, apesar de as pessoas entrevistadas serem a favor da educação inclusiva, esse processo deve ser mais bem planejado para atingir aos objetivos. Os familiares de crianças com deficiência denunciam que é preciso vencer o preconceito dentro da escola, para que não se torne um empecilho no processo de ensino e aprendizagem desses alunos especiais que estão inseridos em classes de ensino comum.
