Abstract

The text presents an argumentative review of the book Paulo Freire More than Ever: A philosophical biography, published in 2019 by Vestígio and written by professor and researcher Walter Kohan. The book seeks to discuss the life and works of Paulo Freire by creating an environment of dialogue with aspects of philosophy, not only in the methodological and theoretical sense, but in the philosophical life of an educator with regard to his trajectories, thoughts and practices, proposing a reading that investigates the life of Paulo Freire as an educator, sociologist, father, son and friend, creating a relationship of these with the existential meanings of a philosophical life. The book presents possibilities for reflections from the life of Paulo Freire for investigations about education, politics and philosophy, which contribute to thinking philosophical training of teachers as a life practice.
