ABOUT THE EVALUATION

 

a)During the process, the article submitted is taken as a confidential document (APA Manual). Editors and reviewers may not quote or circulate copies of articles for any purpose (APA Manual).

b)Only articles properly inserted in the Electronic Magazine Editing System (SEER) will be evaluated. Likewise, all assessment processes will only be considered valid if they are carried out via this system.

c)All articles will be evaluated by two referees. In the case of contradictory opinions, other opinions will be requested.

d)The dates of articles submission, date of receipt of the final version, and date of acceptance will be extracted from SEER, and any changes are prohibited.

e)In the case of articles for dossiers, the magazine will obey all the items mentioned in the call.

f)Due to budget issues, the journal will request, after approval for publication, that the authors take responsibility for any payments for revising the text. Directions will be sent by email.

 

Peer review process

Olhar de Professor follows the evaluation policy below:

 

1 - Receipt of the article or review via the online submission system.

 

2 - Evaluation, by the Editorial Team, regarding the pertinence of the article or review in relation to the editorial line and scope of the journal. Criteria for the preliminary evaluation:

 

a) The article must present an original contribution to the specific research field.

b) The article or review must necessarily fit the editorial line of the journal: the theme of the article or theme of the book reviewed must be related to education; must address the theory-practice relationship; have the potential to serve as a reference for other studies and research.

c) Present the number of pages defined for the journal standard.

d) Be submitted with titles, abstracts and keywords in Portuguese, English and Spanish.

e) Present language proofreading.

f) Comply with ABNT standards for citation, bibliographic references, summary, and others.

From 6 to 8 months
