Evaluation has become the focus of education policies in Brazil, configuring one of the fundamental aspects in decision making, being present from the creation of policies to the context of practice. In such scenery, large scale evaluation outstands in the educational debate, in both macromanagement and in the educational practices developed in schools.

This dossier aims at presenting papers, reviews, experience reports and interviews that address large scale evaluation in basic education and its relation with: deployment and implementation of policies, school institutional evaluation, teachers’ education, school curriculum, the use of evaluation results in education and school management, and other reflections upon national, state and municipal large scale evaluations.

Manuscripts must be submitted according to the norms put forward by the journal “Olhar de Professor” (Qualis B1) and will be published in the 2020 first semester issue.
